Exit A Productions is casting Valerie, a short horror film intended for festival submission, about a man whose anticipated one night stand goes terribly wrong when he discovers he's gone home with a psychopath – and wakes up restrained in the woman's basement with only one chance of escape.
 
The film will aim to avoid the genre clichés, creating a visceral experience that is closer to reality than a stereotypical horror movie, to truly affect the audience and draw out deeper emotions. Garett Garrido, writer/dir.; Anthony Tackett, prod./DP.

Seeking—
 
Valerie: female, 25-35, flexible with age & appearance so long as the role is pulled off properly, must be able to "get a little dark", as the character is a psychopath, candidates must be dedicated/willing to explore the darker sides of the human psyche;
 
Valerie's Husband: male, 25-45, large, a Hells Angels type, the bigger the better, in the script this characters physical appearance is intimidating, no on-screen lines though there are moments where he can be heard shouting through the walls and his physical presence plays a huge part of the film.
