Poison Ivy Mysteries is still looking
for someone (male or female) to play the part of the Android in Death...the
Final Frontier (may the corpse be with you.) The character is an amalgamation of
Marvin the Android from Hitchhikers Guide and C3-PO and Data...would actually
prefer a female to play it though.

The Galactic Alliance is preparing to welcome a new planet into the Alliance and aliens from across the galaxy are meeting in the space station above the newly inducted planet. This conference could seal the fate of the universe but will the outcome be peace or is there an underlying plot for vengeance?
As the script is still being written and with our experience with what has worked well in the past, we are waiting to finalize the script until we have cast it. This process allows us to fit our characters to the strengths of the actors playing them. Songs can be written to fit your voice and dance can be made to match your style. We are REALLY excited for this one.
The show will open at the beginning of March and run through the end of April (possibly May). Shows will be Friday nights and the pay is $15 per show.
Rehearsals will begin the beginning of Feb. (as soon as we are cast) and will be based around schedules.

Please come prepared with 16 bars of a song, as well as a one minute comedic monologe ora monologue from any STAR WARS film. Headshots and resumes preferred.

The Utah Scalpel SL,UT's are holding
open auditions for their shadowcast of REPO! The Genetic Opera. Directed by Ryan
Fallis. If you are unfamiliar with shadowcasting: A shadowcast is when a group
of people perform a movie in front of a screen while that movie is playing; they
essentially pantomime the movie. Most often seen during showings of The Rocky
Horror Picture Show. (Thank you Urban Dictionary).
Auditions will be Sunday Feb. 7 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Tower Theatre (876 E 900 S, SLC). Please e-mail Marill9999@msn.com with the header 'REPO AUDITIONS' for an audition time.
Cast list will be announced no later than noon of Feb. 8.
The actors will need to help provide their own costumes if cast (we're working on very little budget).
Choose 30 seconds to a minute from a song(s) that includes the character(s) you would like to audition for. Then showcase yourself as that character(s) during the audition. We are looking for acting and movement over singing ability. We need to be able to keep the attention of 350 audience members for an hour and a half. We require that everyone auditioning be in good health and be fine with a lot of movement. This show is very heavily choreographed.
The show will perform Friday May 28 (a midnight showing) and Saturday May 29 (an 8pm and midnight showing) at the Tower Theatre.
All parts except Shilo Wallace, Graverobber, and the Henchwomen are open. Multiple smaller parts may be offered to a single actor if cast.
NATHAN WALLACE: Shilo's father and a widower, having lost his wife Marni, a death which he blames himself for. He doubles as the head Repo Man. He often laments his late night duties, but a seeming multiple personality tends to take him over, leaving him a vicious killing machine as opposed to the kind-hearted, torn father.
ROTTI LARGO: The ailing GeneCo president, looking for a worthy heir. He sees his own children as "vultures" and "ingrates", and is bitter towards Nathan for stealing Marni from him. He is the one who poisoned Marni, in a jealous rage.
BLIND MAG: Born blind, Mag is given the ability to see by signing her life away in a contract to sing for GeneCo Genetic Opera. She is marked for repossession and is set to deliver her final performance for the company. She is Shilo's godmother and was best friends with Marni, when hearing of Rotti's decision to provide Shilo with a cure for her "blood disease" she risks enraging Nathan and Rotti by coming to Shilo's house and warning her not to make the same mistakes she did by taking Rotti's cure.
LUIGI LARGO: Rotti's eldest son, an abusive homicidal sociopath. He wields a knife at all times and is usually wearing an ascot. He will stab someone for something as little as getting his shirt messy or getting him the wrong coffee. He has a habit of often ripping open his shirt to change into a new one after repeatedly getting his shirt bloodied up, a trait costume designer Alex Cavanaugh attributed to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
PAVI LARGO: Rotti's youngest son, vacuous, effeminate and narcissistic. He wears a deceased woman's skinned face as a mask to cover his own face, which is horrendously scarred. Due to the way his face is attached, he is able to change faces on a whim. He is shown to be quite charismatic and somewhat of a lady-killer (both metaphorically and literally).
AMBER SWEET: Rotti's surgery and Zydrate-addicted daughter and Mag's rival. She obtains Zydrate illegally from Graverobber, with whom it is suspected she has a sexual relationship. Ironically she is also the face of the Zydrate support network.
MARNI WALLACE: Marni is Shilo's dead mother and Nathan's late wife. Her best friend was Mag, and she was fatally poisoned by an enraged Rotti, to whom she was engaged before breaking off the engagement and eloping with Nathan.
SINGLE MOTHER: Single mother is a GeneCo model who had originally come in for a kidney transplant, but ended up getting full-body surgery.
VANITY & VEIN REPORTER: A reporter that catches Rotti Largo during an embarrassing moment.
THE BAND LEADER: The band leader is easily excitable and very hyper, to the point where he is rendered short of breath. He begins the Genetic Opera.
GENECO DOCTOR: Rotti's nervous, trembling doctor who gives Rotti the news of his health, then he is killed by the henchwomen.
FEMALE VICTIM: A Repo victim who got a heart transplant, but couldn't pay her debt, so the Repo man comes for her.
MALE VICTIM: The actor will play three different victims throughout he show.
AMBER'S VALETS: Two men who will stand as Amber Sweet's 'shirtless' bodyguards.
GENETERNS: Beautiful GeneCo surgeon/models.
SCALPEL SLUTS: People who are addicted to the drug known as Zydrate.
