UT, 'The Scarlet Pimpernel'
The Empress Theatre is casting "The Scarlet Pimpernel," a dramatic musical about a secret society of 20 English aristocrats engaged in rescuing their French counterparts from the daily executions of the early stages of the French Revolution (Reign of Terror). Eric Barney, board dir.
Rehearses evenings & weekends, including through the holidays; runs Jan. 4-26, 2013 at the Empress Theatre in Magna, UT.
Seeking—Actors: males and females, 16+.
Auditions will be held Oct. 23 & 24, 7-9 p.m. at the Empress Theatre, 9104 W. 2700 S., Magna, UT. Callbacks scheduled for Oct. 27, 9 a.m.-noon.
Prepare one minute of a Broadway song in the style of the show, but not from the show. Minus tracks are preferred. There will not be an accompanist. No a cappella singing allowed. Bring pix & resumes, if available.

The Ziegfeld Theatre is casting "Next To Normal," the Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical that takes on big issues such as a family thrown into crisis by mental illness, grief and therapy, love and loyalty. Rick Rea, dir.; Alax Garner, stage mgr.
Performances run Jan. 11- Feb. 2, 7:30 p.m. in Ogden, UT. (For Weber students, rehearsals and performances will NOT conflict with "Lucky Stiff," "Will Rodgers Follies" tech/run, or "KCACTF.")
Seeking—Actors: males and females. Note: This show has high vocal and acting demands. Be familiar with the show’s style and characters.
