UT, Neil Simon Festival 2013 Summer Season

The Neil Simon Festival is casting it 2013 Summer Season. Richard Bugg, Artistic Director.

All four shows will run in repertory, July 10-August 10 in Park City & Cedar City, UT.

Seeking—Performers: males and females, singers and actors. For character descriptions, visit

Also seeking—Stage Staff & Tech.

Performers: Prepare two contrasting monologues, or one monologue and 16 bars of a Broadway song. There will not be an accompanist at the audition, so please bring a music CD, guitar to accompany yourself, or be prepared to sing a cappella. At least one monologue should be from a Neil Simon play. Also, please come with resume and head shot. No appointment is necessary. If possible, come during the first half of the audition period.

Stage Managers, Designers & Technicians: Come prepared to interview with resume and portfolio.

February 8, 4-6 p.m. at the Las Vegas Academy, 315 S 7th Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101, in the Lobby.

February 9, 9 a.m.-noon on the campus of the Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah in the Music Building Room 209.

February 9, 2-4 p.m. on the campus of the Dixie State College in St. George, Utah in the Eccles Fine Arts Building, Room 156.

February 23, 9-10:30 a.m. on the campus of the Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in the Harris Fine Arts Center, room F-201.

February 23, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on the campus of the Utah Valley University in Orem, in the eXbox Theatre, GT-627.

February 23, 2:30-4:30 p.m. on the campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in the Performance Arts Building, PAB-110.

We attempt to cast age-appropriate when possible, but will consider using actors of ages different from their character. Most company members will be asked to play roles in two plays. Some company members will be asked to play roles in three plays.

Nonunion performers will earn $100-$175/week. Housing will be provided for out-of-town artists. There are up to two Equity Special Guest contracts available.
