– Real Salt Lake will hold auditions on Monday, March 11 at Rio Tinto Stadium for performers interested in singing the National Anthem at the team’s 2013 Major League Soccer home games.

Audition winners will be determined by a panel of celebrity judges who will be in attendance at the March 11 event. Auditions will be limited to a capella or acoustic performances; no electrical instruments will be allowed.

RSL is looking for performers for both the American and Canadian National Anthems. The Claret-and-Cobalt will play one home game against a Canadian team in 2013, taking on Vancouver Whitecaps FC on May 4.

Auditions will be held in Club Real on the second-floor of Rio Tinto Stadium from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. on March 11. Performers interested in auditioning are asked to contact Real Salt Lake Corporate Services Coordinator Bridget Farfel at 801-727-2899 or at bfarfel@realsaltlake.com to sign up for a tryout slot. Performers under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the audition by a parent or guardian in order to perform.
