We need Dark Hair Olive skin looking talent. Latin, Southern European Etc. They can have blue

eyes as long as they have Olive skin and Dark Hair or are willing to dye their Hair.

Not Indian. Not Black. Not Asian. Not Scandanavian.

 

“To Do List”: (if they already read for this have them come in again)

DAD – 30‐40. He should be distracted by his laptop…use a real prop in the casting.. Use props

wherever possible please. Sit dad at table…he doesn’t look at child until child asks if he’s on

that “very important list”…which is when I have to see the “gotcha” moment on dad’s face as

he gets it and he changes from distracted adult to caring loving dad.

Both actors have to deliver their lines in Spanish. Send in Dad and Son on time slot

SON – 4‐6. Older doesn’t work unless there’s a 7 year old who reads as a 5 year old. If you have

a killer 4‐6 year old girl I’m fine looking at few little girls. This child delivers the “gotcha” line to

dad with such simple, honest, innocence it melts hearts – it has to bring a tear to your eye or it

doesn’t work, period.

Both actors have to deliver their lines in Spanish. Send in Dad and Son on time slot

“Pizza”:

TEENS, boys and girls, age 14‐18. Lots of energy, laughs, talking and eating. Newspapers get

tossed aside, cups tipped over, napkins balled up and thrown kinds of things – add lib. Each kid

should deliver the line, “Kids these days”, in Spanish with a sense of fun and apology. Sit the

kids around a table on chairs, with props. Send in Two Teens Per time slot

WAITRESS, age 40‐55. A bit weary but resolved. Visibly lightens us when the one Teen returns

to help her. Send on per time Slot

3 LADIES, age 50‐65. They notice the teens being a bit boisterous and are VERY mildly

disapproving which turns to, “That’s cool” when the kid comes back to help waitress.

Send in Two per time Slot

 

“Sweet 15”:

This is the spot where the talent can have some of the indigenous Central American look.

3 Teens 2Girls – age 15. And 1 Teen Boy – age 15 Per time slot Send 3 per time Slot

Parents – age 40‐50. Outdoor working class look. Send in one mom and one dad per time slot

 

“Fruitseller”:

Mother – about 30. She should be carrying a laundry basket full of laundry that she’s waiting at

the bus station with. When it begins to rain she takes out a towel and tries to shelter herself

and her two young kids who are beside her, hanging onto to her legs. Please try and find Moms

with kids they are familiar with, Own kids or friends etc, It will help the kids act

 

Children – age 3‐5. They need to look like they are kids of the mother above…they are sticking

really close…hanging onto mom’s legs. SEND IN MOM AND CHILDREN ON SAME TIME SLOT

Fruit Vendor ‐ 50‐60. Yr old man. One per time slot

 

“What Are You Doing?”:

Father – mid‐40’s.

Son – 16.

Send them in on same time slot

 

“Teamwork”:

soccer team age 14‐18. Two of them are going to have to be good players, one passing to the

other whom, with surgical precision, kicks it past the goalie. Send in two soccer players per time

Slot

 

“Opportunity”:

Older Exec’s –these guys are in their ‘60’s…senior exec types.  One per

time slot

 

FRANCISO Is now a Young Woman – early ‘20’s and not trying to look attractive but must be

cute because we don’t want to misread the intention of these exec’s who spot her IT talent and

give her an opportunity. One per time slot

 

“A VISIT GOES A LONG WAY”:

Grandpa – 80+, not spry a tad on the slow and feeble side. Uses a cane to walk. Good repoire

with the grand daughter. Send in One per time slot

Lucia – 13. Sincere granddaughter type repoire with the grandpa. Send in One per time Slot
