Completed by the author less than a month after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, “The Skin of Our Teeth” (1942) broke from established theatrical conventions and walked off with the 1943 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Combining farce, burlesque, and satire, and elements of the comic strip, Thornton Wilder depicts an Everyman Family as it narrowly escapes one end-of-the-world disaster after another, from the Ice Age to flood to war. ------- Directed by: Mark Fossen. Runs: March 12-28, 2015. Rehearsals: Begin February 7 and (apart from tech week) will be Monday-Friday from 6-10pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm.

Each person who auditions should prepare a monologue from a classic American play (such as O’Neill, Williams, Miller, Kaufmann & Hart), or a provided side from “The Skin of Our Teeth” Memorization is encouraged, but not necessary. Men and women of all ethnic backgrounds and ages are encouraged to audition.
