CHARACTERS:

 

1.      FATHER (LEAD, Late 30s – Early 40s, Caucasian) – A man for whom integrity is paramount, he witnesses a horrific event and can’t reconcile the evil of it with the idea of divinity, though he must choose whether to abandon or keep his shaken faith.  

2.      MOTHER (LEAD, Late 30s - Early 40s, Caucasian) – A mother for whom love is paramount, her genuine emotion, resilience, and faith in the face of this tragedy softens the father’s heart as she tries to keep her family strong.

3.      SON (LEAD, 10 – 12, Caucasian) – Piercing eyes.  A boy in between childhood and manhood, he discovers for the first time the brutality of the world with his father at his side, and makes an important decision, independent of his parents.

4.      SISTER (8 – 10, Caucasian) – A carefree girl, the middle child of the family. 

5.      BROTHER (6 – 8, Caucasian) – A happy, playful boy, and the youngest child.
