Client Casting for a feature film that I am producing called "The Saratov Approach". It's a true story about two mormon missionaries that get kidnapped in Russia and held ransom. It is a low budget movie and we will be paying $100/day for the roles listed on the specs.

We will be shooting some of the film in Utah, and the rest of it in Russia. Projected Principle photography is March 18th-April 5th.

We are holding auditions next Thursday, February 21st, 2013 from 10am - 6pm. in Draper
 Casting Specs:

PROPST: 20-25 years old, is an American missionary serving in Russia.  When he and his companion are kidnapped, his uses his ability to "win friends and influence people" to his advantage.  He'll always speak what's on his mind, and is not afraid to risk it all.

TUTTLE: 20-28 years old, is an American missionary serving in Russia.  He is a born leader, and is confident, both in his abilities as a missionary, and as a person.  When he is kidnapped with his companion, he is pushed to his physical limits, and is forced to rely on a combination of logic and faith in order to endure.

Nicholai: 18-30 year old Russian.  He is a former boxer, but probably in the featherweight league.  He is quiet, mysterious and vulnerable.  Shaggy blonde hair, and lanky body type.  He will do anything to survive the tough blows that life has thrown at him over and over again.  Speaks English with a Russian accent.

Sergei: 45-55 year old Russian.  When Sergei isn't wearing a black ski mask, and kidnapping missionaries, he is a big scary looking Russian that you would not want to meet in an alley.  Or anywhere.  His voice is gruff, his hair is greasy, and his stature is intimidating.  Could be ripped, or could just be huge, it's hard to tell under his dark persona.  Think Ivan Drago, ("I'll break you!") after a hard hard lifetime of drinking, fighting and abuse.  He speaks-- no, yells-- Russian and English.

Lee Propst: 50-60, Propst's dad, from Oregon.  Currently serving as a Bishop, when his son his kidnapped.  His faith becomes the only thing that he and his family hold on to.  The pressure of the situation nearly breaks him down emotionally, but he somehow always powers through.

Mary Propst: 45-55, Propst's mom, from Oregon.  Her son is the youngest child, and only boy.  She's terrified at the situation he is in, but has to be strong for the inquiring media.  She's tough, determined, and is probably the reason that her son is so good with people.

Roy Tuttle: 45-50, Tuttle's dad.  He would be in Russia rescuing his son himself, if the stupid FBI would let him.  Instead he is stuck in Arizona with a media circus.

Virginia Tuttle: 40-45, Tuttle's mom, has a calming effect on the media and her Husband.

Reverend: 30-50, Leads a congregation in a heartfelt sermon.
