Candlelight Media a big Production company is developing a half-hour series based on Jane Austen's works, and are testing it out with a pilot that will shoot in June (most likely). We're holding auditions Thursday 5-10-12 afternoon between 3pm and 3:30pm,

The rate would be $250/day, with a free day included for a cast read-through and wardrobe fitting

About the series: Four of Jane Austen's beloved heroines (from Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Emma) are friends in modern-day times, and find their friendship helps them in their interconnected lives and struggles with love, family and work.

Characters:

"Lizzie": Real estate agent in an agency.  Her issue is getting over pride and prejudices. Judgmental but not the best judge of character. Often misjudges others, and it becomes a flaw and way to keep her humble. Caucasian, possibly other ethnicities (but not African American),  late 20s.

"Emma": She's a divorce attorney (but likes to match-make).  Quick-tongued but usually can hide what she really thinks with polite comments. Sparkle in her eye as she sees potential with couples. Caucasian, possibly other ethnicities (but not African American),  27-33 yrs olds.

"Elinor": She's an accountant, specializing in taxes.  Her issue is finding passion to offset the practical.  She's more to the point, and confident in business, but quieter and reserved socially.  She tends to not make waves because she is polite and practical, but as a result, some people end up walking all over her. Caucasian, about 30 yrs old.

"Marianne": Always looking for Mr. Right, to the extent that she'll take a lesser job if it means she's around cute guys.  Her issue is growing up beyond romance. Passionate to a fault. Not driven to succeed career-wise, but fine with getting by. Caucasian,  mid-twenties.
