1:00 – 2:00:  Participate in FREE WORKSHOP from Broadway’s Jeff Whiting.
2:00 – 3:00:  Compete in Dance Audition. (open to the public to observe)
3:00 – 4:00:  FINALIST SHOWCASE (open to the public)

WIN THE PYRAMID PRIZE:
One Utah High School student will be chosen to receive the PYRAMID PRIZE for excellence in Music Theatre and Dance. This PRIZE includes:

FULL TUITION TO OPEN JAR INSTITUTE ($1,950).
ROUND TRIP AIR FARE TO NYC.
SIX NIGHT STAY in a Times Square HOTEL ROOM.
TICKETS TO FOUR BROADWAY SHOWS.

The public is invited to watch as the judges (Broadway’s Jeff Whiting and a panel of faculty from U of U, BYU, UVU, and WEBER) evaluate the finalists and choose the winner during this finalist showcase.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

SING:  Come ready to sing a 32-bar song that shows you ‘at your best’.  Bring sheet music clearly marked for an accompanist to play.  No music tracks allowed.

DANCE:  Come ready to learn a dance combination.  Wear jazz shoes or sneakers.

Bring a non-returnable headshot and resume.

The only requirement to audition is you must be a High School Student and resident of Utah. The winner of the PYRAMID PRIZE will receive an all-expense-paid trip to NYC which includes: flight, hotel, food, tickets to four Broadway shows, back stage tour, head shots, and a five day intensive Broadway workshop taught by Broadway performers, directors, choreographers, agents, and casting directors. A trophy will be awarded and there will also be awards given to the 1st and 2nd alternates.
