Rates:  $250.00/day.  Rates are negotiable for certain roles.

Breakdown:

Wes:  Male, Caucasian, 40, business professional who wants to be a comedian.  He is friendly but a little anal.  LEAD.  THIS ROLE HAS ALREADY BEEN CAST

Kristen:   Female, Caucasian, 30’s-early 40’s, business professional.  She is very attractive and professional looking.  She is friends with Wes and is his liaison with clients.  There is some sexual tension between Wes and Kristen.  Good comedic timing.   SUPPORTING LEAD

Tony:  Male, Black, 30’s, Stand-up comedian.  He is a bike messenger who befriends Wes at the comedy club.  Cool, quick-witted, friendly.  Think Kevin Hart.  Good comedic timing.  SUPPORTING LEAD 

Reid:  Male, Caucasian, 50’s-60’s, business professional, Office curmudgeon.  He hates his job and wife but will never get a divorce.  He lives at the office to avoid going home.  He is blunt and kind of crusty at times but very likable.  Good comedic timing.  SUPPORTING LEAD

Judith:  Female, Caucasian, 30’s- 40’s, business professional.  She is quirky, artistic, creative, and used to be a ballerina dancer-so she is very graceful.   She loves the arts but is trapped in a business professional body.  She is doing a different accent in every scene.  Good comedic timing.  MUST BE ABLE TO DO MULTIPLE ACCENTS.  SUPPORTING LEAD

Nicki:  Female, Caucasian, 20’s, Assistant at consulting firm.  She is super cute, fun, and thin.  Sometimes she acts like a 14 year old tomboy, which is the opposite of how she looks.  Good comedic timing. SUPPORTING LEAD

Brian:  Male, Caucasian, 30’s, nerdy technology professional.  He is overweight, sloppy, nerdy, and an all-around nice guy.  He has a treadmill desk and is always trying to lose weight but to no avail.  He has a huge crush on Nicki and tries to impress her but is awkward when he tries.  Good comedic timing.  SUPPORTING LEAD 

Jennifer:  Female, Caucasian, 30’s, Wes’ wife.  She is very pretty and likes nice things- trips to Europe, remodeling the kitchen every 2 years, etc.  She is extremely uptight!  She is not very supportive of Wes’ dreams of becoming a comedian.  Good comedic timing.  SUPPORTING 

Enrique:   Male, Hispanic, 50’s, Wes’ boss.  He is the president of the consulting firm and is always trying to make everyone work harder and threatens to fire those who don’t.  He is “the man” and knows it.  DAYPLAYER- RECURRING

Matt:  Male, Any Ethnicity, 40’s-50’s, Runs a big corporation.  He is upset because Wes’ firm did not deliver contract within the deadline.  DAYPLAYER- POSSIBLY RECURRING

Waiter:  Male or Female (preferably male), Any Ethnicity, 25-35, Waits tables at the comedy club.  He is overzealous about sharing the Gospel and eager for any missionary moment.  He is almost too peppy for his job.  Good comedic timing.  DAYPLAYER- POSSIBLY RECURRING

Portly Comic:  Male or Female (preferably male), 25-45, Comedian at comedy club who steals Tony’s jokes.  Scummy and maybe fat and balding with bad teeth.  We are open to real comedians for this role!  They do not need to be actors.  They are doing a stand-up bit on stage at the club in this scene.  DAYPLAYER

Emcee:  Male or Female, Any ethnicity, 25-55.  He/she introduces each act at the comedy club.  Good personality.  DAYPLAYER-POSSIBLY RECURRING

Rep 1 & Rep 2:  Male or Female, Any Ethnicity, 30’s-50’s, Talent agents who are at the comedy club scouting new talent.  Think trendy agents from LA.  TALENT WILL READ FOR BOTH ROLES.  DAYPLAYERS

Corporate Consultant from China:  Male or Female, 20’s-60’s, VERY THICK ASIAN ACCENT (Mandarin, Chinese, etc).  This is a Voice-Over only right now but may appear on camera as well.  Please have talent record the lines and email submissions to me by Friday, Nov. 15thDAYPLAYER- POSSIBLY RECURRING.
