"Now we begin the process of casting roles for both children and adults and bring the real-life story of a King and his Governess in 1860’s Siam (now called Thailand) to life. The large cast of 55 includes lead and supporting roles. There are singers, actors, dancers, and even a few non-singing roles. There is something for everyone."

Children must be accompanied by a parent for the entire audition and are asked to come at 10 AM for 2 hours to work as a group with the director/choreographer and the musical director to learn the dances and music. "There are roles for 12 Royal Princes and Princesses (including 1 set of twins) between the ages of 5 and 12 who can sing and move to music.

There are 2 lead roles for boys who are between ages 10 and 12 – Louie Leonowens (who needs to be able to whistle) and Prince Chulalongkorn. Both must be able to sing, dance, and act. All voices must be treble", Ms. Lee explained. Call-back auditions are the same day, August 6th from 2 to 4 PM. "We look forward to seeing all interested children at 10 AM on August 6th."
