Stage Door Entertainment, in conjunction with Super Summer Theatre, is casting the musical, Annie, based on the comic strip. Terrence R. Williams, dir; Nancy West, music dir; Amanda Kraft, choreo. Rehearses weekday evenings beginning mid-March; runs June 8-25 at Spring Mtn. Ranch, NV.

Seeking—
 
Annie: female, 10-13, mezzo-soprano, spunky, friendly, street-wise orphan, (Note to Parents: This role will require a very demanding rehearsal schedule);
 
Oliver Warbucks: male, 35-65, baritone, warm-hearted and stiff-collared billionaire, tapping an asset, but not required;
 
Grace Farrell: female, 18-35, soprano, faithful and warm assistant to Mr. Warbucks;
 
Miss Hannigan: female, 30-55, mezzo-soprano, cantankerous drunken orphanage director, strong character actress with great comic timing;
 
Rooster: male, 25-50, baritone, the no-good brother of Miss Hannigan, NY accent preferred, actor must move well;
 
Lily: female, 21-40, mezzo-soprano, girlfriend of Rooster;
 
Franklin D. Roosevelt: male, 35-65, baritone, strong-willed and compassionate statesman;
 
Bert Healy: male, 16-45, tenor, radio star;
 
The Boylan Sisters: female, 14-35, mezzo-soprano, radio backup singers;
 
Drake: male, 40-70, the English butler of the Warbucks mansion;
 
Orphans: female, 5-14, orphans in the orphanage run by the evil Miss Hannigan;
 
Ensemble: male & female, any age, there are a tremendous number of ensemble roles;
 
Non-singing parts: male or female, non-singers are also invited to audition as a few roles may be cast with actors who do not sing.

Auditions will be held Feb. 12 & 19, 11 a.m. (children), 4 p.m. (teens & adults), and Feb. 18, 6:30 p.m. (teens & adults) at Creative Studios Las Vegas, 6415 S. Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV.
 
Auditioners should attend one date only. Children should prepare approx. 90 seconds of an upbeat Broadway or Disney song (not from the show); teens & adults should prepare 32 bars of an upbeat Broadway selection (not from the show). Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. CD accompaniment also accepted, but sheet music preferred. No a cappella. Non-singers may prepare a contemporary comedic monologue of no longer than 90 seconds, and be ready to sing a simple tune such as Happy Birthday.
