(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Central Wyoming College Theater Department is holding an audition for the public reading of the critically acclaimed play 8 on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m. on the main stage of the Robert A. Peck Arts Center.

With support from the CWC Diversity Committee, the theater department plans to present a staged reading of the new documentary play that tackles the marriage equality debate. The play is by Dustin Lance Black, the Academy Award winning screenwriter of Milk.

Theater director Mike Myers said there are roles for 16 men and five women and those auditioning will be asked to read from the script.

The selected actors will rehearse four times and only one performance is scheduled on Sunday, March 3 at 2:30 p.m.
