Twain's dead play

Pioneer Theatre Company will hold auditions for "Is He Dead?," a newly discovered comedy by Mark Twain, adapted by David Ives.

The play is about Millet, a brilliant but impoverished painter, whose work no one is willing to pay for until he dies. His friends persuade him to fake his own death, and Millet hatches a scheme to make him rich and famous.

Come prepared to read from the script, which will be available for overnight checkout. The audition is open to Equity and non-Equity actors. Callbacks will be Saturday, June 6.
