Project: 16 Stones (NON-SAG project)

Synopsis: Three people in the 1830s Mid-West United States go on a search for ancient artifacts to prove their religious beliefs. (Family-friendly content.)

Filming dates: May 17-31, 2014

ROLES

James: Age 21. Male Caucasian. Driven, at times hot-headed. A well-meaning person, but struggles with his ambition to find proof of his beliefs. Rate $300/day.

Elaine: Age 19. Female Caucasian.  A woman who is stronger than she realizes, but has her doubts in her religion. Rate $300/day.

Thomas: Elaine’s brother. Age 22. Male Caucasian. James’ friend. Thomas is more level-headed and reasonable. Very strong in his faith. Rate $300/day.

Billy (looter): A unrefined looter, who is distrustful of his more sophisticated partner in crime. Age 30-45. Male Caucasian. Rate $250/day.

Gordon (looter): A looter and criminal who has a proud streak. Sees himself as more refined but really is still just a criminal. Age 30-45. Male Caucasian. Rate $250/day.

Jesuit Priest: Age 30-55. Male Caucasian. Preferably has a beard. Rate $250/day.

Indian—Native American appearance. Age 35+. Speaks without fluency, so his speech comes across a bit broken. Rate $250/day.

Sister Delford: Female Caucasian, 50s age range. A woman of faith with a fiery personality. Mother of James. Rate $250/day.

All other roles are between $200-$250/day, and will be cast from those seen auditioning for the above.

We really take notice and appreciate the Craze talent that submits for as many castings as possible even if you do not always book the project!

One thing though that really upsets the clients and wastes everyone’s time is when we submit talent who say they can do the project or audition and then they change their mind, either because they did not read the details or it is too far away from where they live. Clients don’t care about that, they just want us to find the talent for them and if we don’t they will find someone that does.

If travel is a concern or dates etc. do not apply. Unless it states travel paid, searching nationwide or that you can email a taping of your audition, do not apply if you cannot be there in person if it is an audition.

Some clients will give us only one or two spots for each part they are casting.  If you do not show up or cancel after we book you we lose that spot and it really upsets the clients.

We then have to be are wary of sending you again. It is not fair to the other talent that did not get to attend

Travel is never paid unless it states it in the casting. Also be smart about submitting for projects that you do not fit the age range or the role description.  1-2 years either way for kids/teens is usually ok and 3-4 years either way is usually ok for adults even if you think you look younger than your age (which we hear constantly). If a project says specifically 21 up or 18 up there is usually a legal reason for that.

We want you to succeed, so please keep applying to the projects that you can do and fit, we really need you and are pushing everyday to find our talent opportunities!

A group of film students from Salt Lake Community College is hosting an open casting call for the short film "YOU COULD WIN," written and produced by Juliet DeVette. We are auditioning for the role of Joey (lead): male, 15-19 Asian mixed Caucasian/ethnic type. Paid role. Please see following for details.

Production Description: Joey, 17, is an afflicted teenager who suffers from panic attacks and attempts to kill himself while his self-absorbed sister is occupied with her cheerleading. The film juxtaposes their worlds in unique sound design and editing. Producer will apply for SAG short film agreement before filming; film is intended for the festival circuit.

Rehearsal & Production Dates & Locations:

Shoots 1 day, 9-12 hours, March 10 or 17 in Salt Lake City, UT

Compensation & Union Contract Details:
