Twin Falls, Idaho If your child loves acting, then we have an opportunity for you.

The Missoula Children's Theatre is taking auditions for Blackbeard the Pirate Monday afternoon.

The event starts at 4 p.m.today and will be held in the Sligar Auditorium at the Twin Falls Center for the Arts.

It's open to ages five to 17 and no preparation is necessary. You must however dedicate one full week to the production.

Sin City DSLR Filmmakers, a group of local filmmakers that have come together to make films and create a vibrant, active independent filmmaking community are producing a short film titled AFTER. Boots doesn't take orders from many people, least of all, those he feels are subordinate to him. James is Emily's only male child. He is a normal kid who loves playing at war and annoying his sister, Sylvia.

Sylvia is a typical teenage girl, more interested in what her Vine, Snapchat and Twitter have to offer than any real person. Her brother, James, is often the bane of her existence and she often don't see why her mother is so mean.

Fresh off another amazing run of Thriller (showing through Nov. 2), Odyssey Dance Theatre is holding auditions for children's show ReduxNut-Cracker, showing Dec. 19–21. 

The show is the company's version of The Nutcracker, set in the present day. The original Tchaikovsky score will be remixed for a pop/hip-hop style. In the show, Clara is drawn into her smartphone, where there's gangsta mice, robot soldiers and Drosselmeyer drives a DeLorean. 

The company is looking for eight boys and girls, age 9–10, who can dance and tumble; nine boys, age 10–12, who can dance jazz and hip hop; and eight girls, ages 10–12, who can dance jazz and hip hop.

Auditions are Friday, Nov. 8 from 6:30–10 p.m. at The Pointe Performing Arts Academy in Highland.

Call backs will be Saturday, Nov. 9 from 3–6 p.m. Dancers should only audition if they can make it to all of the performances and all of the rehearsals, which will be Nov. 15–16, Nov. 23, Dec. 6–7 and Dec. 13–14.
