The TOURNAMENT OF KINGS, the medieval-themed jousting spectacular performing at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, is accepting submissions for the following roles:

KINGS – (20’s – 30’s) Role requires charismatic, attractive, physically fit men that can demonstrate proficiency in horseback riding. Job requirements include jousting, falls from horseback, and sword fighting.

FIGHTERS – (20’s – 30’s) Role requires charismatic, attractive men with Body Builder physiques. Job requirements include choreographed sword-fighting routines.

Applicants for any positions should submit a headshot, resume or related media to be considered for an audition appointment. Applicants may include a brief description or demonstration (media) of their performing experience.

Actor/Actress Wanted - Paid, Non-Union (Boise)

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Auditions for Central Wyoming College Theater Department’s production of The Music Man are scheduled for Dec. 10 and 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Robert A. Peck Art Center.

The Music Man, a Broadway hit in 1957 that earned five Tony Awards including best musical, is staged Feb. 28-March 2. Rehearsals begin Monday, January 13, 2014.

Auditions on Dec. 10 are devoted to singing and are held on the main stage of the Arts Center. Director Mike Myers asks those auditioning to prepare a song from a Broadway musical.

Acting auditions are Dec. 11 and are held in the Music Rehearsal Hall, room 157 in the Arts Center, and actors are asked to read from the script.

There are approximately 50 roles for men and women and children.

The LDS Network, a social and employment network for LDS people, is seeking student actors for several roles in their upcoming video that will be featured on their homepage. The video is an overview of the LDS Network and its services with a style similar to the Mormon Messages on YouTube. Non-speaking, non-paid roles, no more than 5 hours of filming for each actor. Wasatch Theatre Company announces auditions for their annual Short Shorts Festival, which features original scripts from local playwrights. Auditions will be Thursday, December 5, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., with callbacks on Saturday, December 7, at 10:00 a.m. in Studio A at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center (138 West 300 South in Salt Lake City). Those auditioning will be asked to read from provided scripts. No appointment necessary. The performances will be January 23 – 25 at the Rose Wagner Studio Theatre. Most participants will be cast in several different shorts, so this is a great opportunity for someone looking to have fun with multiple characters with a non-intense rehearsal schedule. Most rehearsals will be held in evenings after the holidays.
