Auditions will be held on the Salt Lake Community College campus in Taylorsville, Utah on
Thursday, February 24, from 3:00pm- 7:00 pm.
And
Friday, February 25, from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Callbacks will be on Monday, February 28, from 2:00pm- 5:00 pm.
Shooting in Salt Lake City the week of March 21. Shooting will take approx. 2 days.
This is unpaid project. However, you'll be working in a professional environment w/ catering and an experienced DP and crew. You will also receive a DVD/Blue-ray copy of the film.
Logline:
A divorced musician recovers a piece of music he never finished and finds his estranged daughter within it.
Character Breakdown:
JOHN. (30s-40s) Divorced musician. A father who is focused on music. Often ignores his daughter and is impatient with her; struggles to express love. [Already cast, for reference only]
KATIE - (16-20) John’s Daughter. A spirited girl from a broken home; tends to seek peace and avoid confrontation. Has almost given up on her dad who often ignores her and is impatient with her.
KATIE, TEENAGE - (12-14) A younger version of Katie while experiencing the divorce of her parents.
KATIE, YOUNG - (6-9) A loving but often quiet little girl with the desire to have a relationship with her dad.
STACY - (28-40) John’s ex-wife. Controlling and pretentious; never accepts personal blame; always projects.
RYAN - (25) Katie’s husband. Friendly and genuine; seeks the best interest of everyone around him.
DONNIE - (37) John’s agent and friend. Gregarious and easy-going, focused on interpersonal connections.
