Casting call for short film "Tamsin"
College of Southern Nevada Videography II film class is holding auditions for their short film Tamsin. All auditions, rehearsals and days of shooting will be conducted at the Cheyenne campus in the Telecommunications building.
As film school students are preparing for the school film shoot, Tamsin learns that she is no longer the director of the film as she was promised. Another student (Victor) has taken her place because of his leadership and experience. Tamsin becomes the 1st A.D. but is soon pushed into spearheading the project at the same time she must overcome her fears.
Characters
Tamsin – 18-25. Lead. Gothic type, film student who is shy and a bit timid, but if you get on her bad side she will let you know.
Must be available on all three shooting days and cry.
Victor/Voice – 20-30, a well accomplished film director, confident and is on his way up in the film business. Must be available for day two and day three of shooting.
Gina – 18-25. Tamsin’s closest friend, film student.
Must be available for day one and day two of shooting.
Lamar – 18-25. A con-man, cocky, bookie for illegal bets and has issues with Tamsin.
Must be available for day one of shooting.
Alex – 18-25. Shaggy looks, goes with the flow kind of a guy, a friend of Tamsin and Gina.
Must be available for day one and day two of shooting.
Professor Atkins – over 30, head of the film department.
Must be available for day three of shooting.
Film dates – DAY ONE - March 25th, 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
DAY TWO - April 1st, 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
DAY THREE - April 15th, 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Auditions – February 26th and March 5th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
