ROSE Co-Star / Female / Caucasian / 5 - 8 years
Rose: (playing age 8) blonde or light brown hair.
Her build is slight, almost fragile.
 
A mute girl who lives a traveling life with her homeless mother.
She has seen more in her life than a young girl should, even though she never speaks she has a strange emotional maturity beyond her years.
 
We are looking for an experienced young actress with a great range, natural ability to improvise and a subtlety to her performance.
 
SYNOPSIS:
Freedom Farm is a character-driven psychological thriller that is both tender and terrifying, a modern tale of hope and despair set to a beautiful and picturesque backdrop.
 
Isolated and alone, Bert is the owner of a quaint and welcoming farm, where Hattie, a pretty young nomad with a mysterious past and her mute daughter, Rose find unexpected comfort in his arms and Bert finds the sort of companionship he thought was forever out of his reach.
 
But behind Bert's warm and welcoming charm is a dark truth behind his forced exile from town, and when Hattie discovers this she finds herself caught in a terrifying game of cat and mouse, as Bert's past, present and future all collide in a terrifying and violent reality.
