Camp Broadway, the Original Broadway Summer Camp for theater-loving kids, is seeking FEATURED PLAYERS based in Las Vegas for select summer programs including engagements at the Smith Center, the official venue of Camp Broadway in Las Vegas. Based in New York City, Camp Broadway creates and delivers authentic Broadway experiences to non-professionals under the Artistic Direction of Tony Parise. For more information about Camp Broadway visit www.campbroadway.com SEEKING: FEATURED PLAYERS - Southwest Region, including Las Vegas, Tempe, and San Antonio (non-consecutive weeks). Tour kicks off in Tempe, AZ beginning June 1.  Must be available for training in New York City May 27 - 31. CAMP BROADWAY seeks dynamic and high-energy Featured Players residing in the Las Vegas area who enjoy and have experience working with youth (ages 10-17). Featured Player's tasks will include assisting lead creative staff, leading large groups in dance, music and acting rehearsals, and performing lead roles in camp musicals supported by an ensemble of camp participants. Additionally, Featured Player's will act as counselors, managing campers from arrival to departure, monitoring meals and breaks, and setting up and breaking down rehearsal spaces as needed.  Candidates should have exemplary leadership and communication skills, as well as strong singing, dancing and acting skills. Knowledge of musical theater and the Broadway catalogue and experience working with and leading large groups of children preferred. Competitive salary. Travel, housing and per diem provided when away from point of origin (Las Vegas).

AUDITION INFORMATION

WHEN:  Friday March 28, 2014

10am - SINGING Audition

1pm - DANCING Audition

2:30pm - Callbacks *Note: all candidates must attend both the singing AND dancing component of the audition.

WHERE: The Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts 3265 East Patrick Lane Las Vegas, NV 89120

WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo and ballad from the musical theater repertoire and be prepared to learn a short dance combination. Please bring music in the correct key as an accompanist will be provided. NO a cappella singing will be allowed, nor will singing to a track be permitted. Callbacks will follow the dance portion, and this will include a short interview with creative staff. Please be prepared to stay until 4pm. Bring a current headshot and resume, and please include any work/experience with children, teaching, etc.
