POCATELLO — Westside Players Community Dinner Theatre announces auditions for the 2014 Season opening production, Neil Simon’s “Chapter Two,” directed by Leslie Leek.

The play is loosely based on Simon’s own life after the death of his first wife from cancer. George, the widower, is not sure he is ready for love, the second time around. However, George’s brother Leo, sees Jenny as the perfect match, and Jenny’s best friend, Faye, who is married, as a perfect romantic fling for himself. This is a delightful Valentine comedy for Westside patrons.

Director Leslie Leek has excellent roles for two men, ages 30-50, and two women, ages 30-50. Auditions will be held on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., at The Warehouse, 1009 South 2nd Avenue, in Pocatello. She asks actors to prepare a one minute contemporary comic monologue. “Cold readings” from the script will also be provided.

Those interested in technical work, and not acting, are asked to come to the auditions and let the director know. Those with questions are asked to call the director at 208-233-7338 or email her at leeklesl@isu.edu.

Director Leslie Leek is a Marsh Valley native, well known author, retired Idaho State University Senior Lecturer and experienced Westside director. Her credits include “Arsenic and Old Lace,” “Over the River and Through the Woods,” “Relatively Speaking” and most recently “Bell, Book and Candle.”
