Announces Boise Auditions
Friday, August 6, 2010 – 3PM to 5PM

Company of Fools will be holding auditions in Boise for specific shows in their 2010/ 2011 Season on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Downtown YMCA located at 1050 West State Street, Boise from 3PM to 5PM. Auditions are by appointment only. To schedule a time call Company of Fools’ Hailey office at 208.788.6520.

The Company is looking for actors and actresses ages late 20s to early 40s. Those auditioning are asked to come prepared to read from provided sides and/or bring in a one-minute contemporary monologue.

Company of Fools is casting for the following shows:

Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? running October 13-30, 2010. Casting for the parts of Nick & Honey.

Dead Man’s Cell Phone by Sarah Ruhl running February 16-March 5, 2011.  Casting for the roles of Dwight & Hermia.

In the past 14 years Company of Fools has produced 100 plays and has taught hundreds of classes to over 128,000 people.  In December 2000, the Company became the first theatre in Idaho’s history to receive Constituent Theatre status from Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for the professional, nonprofit American theatre.  Governor Dirk Kempthorne honored Company of Fools as a recipient of the 2004 Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts. The Company has been featured in such national publications as American Theatre Magazine, DramaBiz, Backstage West and Sunset Magazine.
