LA Bound!  involves the parent(s). The parent will be completely prepared to face LA acting and all its legalities, protocol, terminology, knowledge of headshots and resumes, agents and managers. You will be the perfect partner for your child as he or she embarks on a wonderful and exciting career!

The Program: in Boise 12 days with Sundays off

DAY ONE:            SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13

9:00-10:00 :                 Parent and child orientation

10:00 – 1:00:               Intro on auditioning techniques: Cold reading

1:00 – 2:30:                  LUNCH: Free time for parent and child

2:30 – 5:00:                  Parents: Basic overview of what to expect while in LA

2:30- 5:00:                   Children and visiting teacher: Improv

Sunday OFF!

DAY TWO:           MONDAY, OCTOBER 15      

12:30 – 3:00:               Parents: Agents/Managers/ other support people

                                      Headshots and resumes – Marketing your child

3:30- 7:00:                             Children: Cold reads for camera

 

DAY THREE:        TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16

12:30 – 3:00:                Parents: Unions

3:30- 7:00:                   Children: Cold readings with challenges

 

DAY FOUR:         WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17

2:30 – 5:00:                  Parents: Follow up on unions, LA and lodging

3:30- 7:00:                   Children: Taking adjustments and tweaking choices quickly

 

DAY FIVE:            THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18    

12:30 – 3:00:               Parents: The legalities of being a parent to a child actor: Guest attorney

3:30- 7:00:                   Auditioning techniques: Mixing it up!

 

DAY SIX:              FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19

3:30 – 7:00:                  Parents and Children: Set etiquette

 

DAY SEVEN:         SATURDAY. OCTOBER 20

9:00- 12:30:                 Voice Over

3:30: 4:00:                   Visiting teacher speak to children

DAY NINE:           TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23

12:30 – 3:00:               Marketing your child

3:30- 5:00:                             Scene study: focusing on your scene partner

5:00-7:00:                    Parents and children: Helping your child prepare for an audition

 

DAY TEN:            WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24

12:30 – 3:00:               Parents: What you should be doing to promote the child’s career in the town where you live

3:30- 5:00:                   Children and visiting teacher: Working with green screen

5:00-7:00                      Improv

 

DAY ELEVEN:      THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25

12:30 – 3:00:               Parents and visiting teacher:  Financial advice for you and your child/ About LA

3:30- 7:00:                   Children and visiting teacher: Enunciation and British accent

 

 

 

DAY ELEVEN:      FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26

3:30- 5:00:                   Working with a director – guest teacher

5:00 – 7:00:                  Children and Parents: Taking camera direction

 

DAY TWELVE:     SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

9:00 – 1:00:                  Children: Read for panel of film makers

1:00 – 2:30:                  LUNCH: Free time for parent and child

2:30 – 5:00:                  Parents and children: Final Q&A and scene “show off time”

6:00-?:                          Farewell dinner and party! (student and 1 guest)
