The Academy of Performing Art’s announces auditions for its holiday
production of:
The Masque of Beauty and the Beast
An original, fresh alternative to a familiar favorite!
Show dates: December 5th-January 16th
He is a monster, half-human, half-beast, and possesses unexplainable powers that defy reality. A merchant looses his way in the forest and stumbles upon the beast’s castle. He plucks a rose for his daughter as the castle’s owner appears in a fury! The Beast sentences the merchant to death, unless he gives up one of his daughters. “Beauty” sacrifices herself for her father and goes to the castle. She soon discovers the Beast is not so wild and inhuman as he seems. Join with the Academy in bringing this timeless classic tale to the Phoenix stage! A show that promises dialogue with Shakespearean flair and a fresh, dramatic approach!
Auditions are slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, October 20th and 21st from 6-8pm, at The Academy of Performing Arts located at 2207 south, Main street.

Parts are available for Men, Women, Teens and Children, age’s 6 and up.
A character breakdown and rehearsal schedule will be provided at the
theatre. Dancers are needed with a background in Creative, Jazz, Modern or
Ballet. Talent will be asked to read from the script and provide an Actor’s
Headshot and resume.
Callbacks for prospective talent will be held on Saturday, October 24th
from 1-4pm.
Recommend that actors dress appropriately for unrestricted movement. Please
