The Children's Theatre production of Ferdinand the Bull

Performance Times are at 10:30am and end at approximately 12:00pm. Performance run is from Late September to mid February

3 Public Performances will be held for the public, October 8th at 7:00pm and 9th at 1pm and 4:30pm with a possible extension the following weekend. There may be two other special events scheduled.

Rehearsals are typically during the weekday mornings.

Please send a headshot and resume for consideration. Once you have been reviewed you will be contacted if you are invited to the audition. No audition piece is needed at auditions. Actors will read from the script

FERDINAND CAST DESCRIPTIONS

A woman 18-30 years old to play the parts of both Flor, the tomboyish teenage daughter of the matador, and a matronly mother cow.  Dance ability is a must.

A man 25-40 to play the matador Belmonte, as well as an adolescent and and an adult bull, and several minor characters.  A versatile voice and body are required, and some dance and puppeteering experience are very desirable.

A versatile man or woman 20-35 to play a host of different characters, especially the energetic bull Torpedo both as a calf and an adult bull, and the comical middle-aged bullbuyer Ramon. Puppeteering skills and a good deal of body acting will be essential.

A man or woman 18-30 to play the bull Ferdinand as a calf, and the teenage boy Pedro.  Must be able to operate a puppet well, and must be willing to run the lighting and sound for a portion of each performance.

A big, powerful-looking man aged 18-40 to play the adult bull Ferdinand.  Some dance ability is desirable.  Would be expected to operate the lighting and sound for a portion of each performance.
