As an advanced Film Production class, we are producing a 15 minute film entitled “The SET-UP,” intended for submission to appropriate film festivals after completion.

The casting session will be held at SLCC South campus (1575 S State Street) on March 10th 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in room N 305 (Third floor - signs will be posted). Callbacks will be after March 12th, you will be notified in advance if your attendance is desired.
For an advance copy of the sides that will the actors will be auditioning from, please e-mail Dean Bingham at casting@db-digitaldesign.com prior to the casting session with a specific request for the role you would like to read for.
Production will begin shooting the week of March 14th and will take place in the Salt Lake area throughout March.

Being a student project, we will unfortunately not be able to financially compensate any actors. We will, however, provide all participating parties with a digital copy and/or DVD of the completed project.

Character Breakdown:
Ted Stewart: (lead) 30's.
Majority stockholder of his fathers company will not back down to those trying to take control. Experiences seemingly unexplainably occurrences designed to discredit/ruin his ability to guide the company.

Barbara Stewart: late 20's.
Ted’s wife. Stay-at-home wife who enjoys the benefits of her husbands position. Increasingly annoyed with Ted’s erratic behavior. Comes to believe that Ted has been unfaithful.

Stacy Wall: 20’s.
Ted’s attractive young secretary. Maintains a professional relationship but reluctantly agrees to play a role in manipulating Ted.

Jack Stanton: late 40's.
CEO of the company. One of two men trying to take complete control of the company from Ted. Under Stephan’s control, initiates the campaign to discredit Ted.

Stephan Hallow: mid 50's.
VP of the company. Driving force behind a particularly shady deal between the company and Senator Talbot. Will stop at nothing to see Ted does not control the company.

Senator (Eugene) Talbot: 60’s.
Long term Senator, currently being investigate on allegations of illegal activity but is still trying to push for a deal with the company.

Hal Dampf: 30’s.
A “manipulator” working for a secrete faction hired to “take care” of Ted. Begins to feel guilty about his actions over recent years.

Dane Siptak: 40’s.
Hal’s over-seer/supervisor. A veteran “manipulator,” cold and heartless he enjoys his job.

Officer (Ernesto) Copeland: 30‘s
Plain-clothes police officer/detective. One of Ted’s arresting officers.

Officer (Haywood) Orourke: 30‘s
Plain-clothes police officer/detective. One of Ted’s arresting officers.

Trisha Svenson: 20‘s
Waitress at local café. Object of Jacks affections…at least at lunchtime.

Travis Keap: early 30's.
Teds long time friend, and news reporter. Called upon by Ted to investigate the dealing of Senator Talbot.

Sam Murphy: late 40‘s
Front security guard of the company office building. Knows and recognizes Ted.
