Auditions are being held this Weekend (Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20) for a BYU Independent film being shot in Utah this Summer.
 
The film does have a budget and the cast would be paid. The information for the auditions is below.
 
Looking for 2 Female characters; one between the ages of 18-22 and one between the ages of 45-50.

Auditions will be held on the BYU Campus in Provo, Utah. This will be a Cold Read Auditions and Sides will be provided there.

STORY DESCRIPTION: 
Katherine won first place in a writing competition and all she wants is her mother, Patricia, to attend the award ceremony. Patricia loves her small and cute, prize winning show dog, Chuchi and spends a lot of time at competitions. Both Katherine and Patricia don’t see eye to eye on what’s most important to the other and Katherine grows frustrated with Patricia’s disregard to her achievements. At the culmination of her anger, Katherine drowns Chuchi in the bathtub. 
 
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:

Katherine Louise George, Age 19-22

Katherine is quiet and observant. She is better at writing than she is at verbal communication and what she struggles with most is that her mother does not relate to her, nor cares about her writing as much as Katherine would want her to. Katherine still doesn’t have the confidence nor ease to talk to her mother about what she feels or thinks. She struggles to be assertive, open and honest, and tries at any cost to avoid rejection of any kind.

Patricia Katherine George, Age 45-50

Katherine's mother. She’s practical, matter-of-fact, used to flat-out honesty and openness and sometimes can be too harsh. She appreciates Katherine’s writing, but considers it just a hobby, and hopes Katherine doesn’t choose it as a career. What she cares about most is her prize-winning dog, Chuchi, and she takes the competitions very seriously; it’s not just a hobby. She can see she doesn’t understand Katherine very well, but figures Katherine will grow out of it at some point and eventually see things her way.
