A Philosophy and Film class taught by Dennis Packard at Brigham Young University is making 3 university-produced, short student films to be presented at a public showing in December. 

BYU, Alisha Peterson et al. (dir) is casting 3 short student films:

‘911,’ ‘Hard Sale,’ and ‘The Movie Theatre.' 

Auditions to be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 1:00pm- 3:00pm at BYU campus, HFAC Room F-430.

Shooting to take place in the first or second week of November. 

Seeking: 

‘911’ – Jenny: 16-20 female, confident, kind, responsible babysitter; 911 Operator (voice-over): 20-40 male;

‘Hard Sale’ – Danni: 7-14 female, confident and thinks she has mastered the business of selling girl scout cookies; Man: 28-45 male, average to tall height/build, stubborn; Woman: 28-45 female, kind and friendly;

‘The Movie Theatre’ – Ashley: 18-25 female, attractive, easily gets embarrassed; John: 18-25 male, obnoxiously arrogant and completely self-centered.

These will be high definition, color corrected films with original music. Copies of the piece will be given to those involved. Rehearsal and shooting locations will be in Provo. Shooting will take place the 1st or 2nd week of November, 2010 (actors and film makers can work together to find the best day and time), rehearsals 1-3 times a week until then. They will require about 5 hours for shooting and about 10 hours of rehearsal.

This will be a Cold Read Audition and sides will be available at the audition.
