Silver Screen Cinema Productions is having a casting call for a short film entitled: Forgiven.

Synopsis: A slave hand named Thomas is accused of murdering Jacob, the son of Thomas' owner, James. James gathers a mob to find him. When people are out for revenge, can forgiveness be found?

We are casting for one scene to be filmed on Saturday, October 22nd. This scene will be used to post on Kickstarter to raise money to shoot the rest of the film. 

Our casting dates are as follows:

Thursday October 6th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Friday October 7th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Saturday October 8th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Location is: 770 E 9000 South Sandy, Utah

We are specifically looking for actors for the parts of Thomas Jones and Jacob Smith. All other actors for the other parts are welcome. The parts are described below. Character Bios

Thomas Jones

30's, African American slave in the Civil War era; Well built, hardworking, accused of killing his owner's youngest son. 


James Smith

40's, Caucasian. Slave owner from whom Thomas escapes. 


Martha Smith

40's, Caucasian. James' wife.


Jacob Smith

Preteen, Caucasian. He's James' only son. 


Harland

50's, African American. A former slave who escaped from his owner. Religious Man, He lives alone.


Lyla

30's African American slave woman. The Housemaid for James and Martha.

Sheriff

40's - 50's Caucasian. Stocky. Lives an easy life. He's the sheriff of the town James live outside of. 


Hunters 1 & 2

30's - 40's, Caucasian. These two men are backwoods, Tennesseans. The real Hill Billie type.

Slave Hands

20's - 30's, African American. Other slaves owned by James who is recruited to help find Thomas.
